When the baby photographer at the hospital walked in as soon as my little one was born, I was a little annoyed. I put it down to a money grabbing stunt that disturbed the baby and made my exhausted self even more tired. I insisted on not being photographed, but the husband suggested we take a photo of our baby girl (with her full head of hair!) I reluctantly agreed. Today, I am so happy we did get that shot. She looked like a completely different baby in just a few weeks and I honestly wouldn’t have remembered all of her little features from that first day if not for this photo (honestly she looks so, so different now). I’m sure I’d appreciate this photograph much more in the years to come. If you do feel up to it and if it is something both you and your partner agree on, have that special photo of your new born taken. It truly is worth the trouble.
