I added green beans or string beans to Ahalya’s lunch as part of her introduction to ranila boga or green vegetables. This was her 13th ingredient to taste.
Green beans are a good source of Vitamin A, K and C. It also offers the baby essential minerals like calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese sodium, phosphorous and zinc.
It is also full of antioxidants, protein and contains high dietary fiber, folate and omega 3 fatty acids.
But keep in mind to offer green beans in puréed or pulped form to your baby because it is a difficult vegetable to digest (for little ones). It may also cause flatulence in infants.
