I introduced Ahalya to chicken today; this was her 18th ingredient. I bought organic chicken and cut it into small pieces, boiled it and stored it in the freezer for later use. For her lunch today, I thawed and reheated a piece and crumbled it by hand and added it to her rice and vege mix (after it was completely cooked and mashed). She was fine with poultry unlike with fish and I was so glad because chicken is one of my favorites too!
Chicken meat is not only know for its high protein content, but also for its essential vitamins and minerals. Organic chicken meat is also know to reduce blood pressure and the risk of cancer. And did you know that warm chicken soup is know to provide relief from the common cold, including symptoms like a congested nose and a sore throat? So, I think I might offer some chicken soup to Ahalya sometime soon.
