Introducing Ricotta to Baby

I gave Ahalya Ricotta (8 months+) for the first time as her 79th ingredient to try, in this Heinze Organic Baby Food Jar that I bought from the Baby Bear Superstore. Ricotta is made from whey – a byproduct of cheeses such as mozzarella and provolone.
Full of carbohydrates protein and calories, an excess consumption of this cheese is not advisable. But in moderation, its fat content can aid the healthy growth and development of an infant (it is important to also know that it contains low levels of sodium). Ricotta cheese is a great source of calcium, phosphorus, zinc, Omega 3 and Omega 6, fatty acids, riboflavin, vitamin A and vitamin B12.
It can also help build muscle, promote strong bones and prevent cancer.
